Background

As a native of Northeast Ohio, Chris grew up in a small rural community outside Painesville, Ohio, and by a very early age had developed a love for singing and playing guitar and piano. By age 12, he was performing anywhere he could.

Winning Best Male Vocalist as a teenager at the National Youth Country Music event validated his career path in performing arts. He pursued a college music degree at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. His first professional performance occurred at Opryland in a musical anthology show impersonating country music artists. Over the next twenty years of touring the entire nation, he played guitar and sang as a studio and stage musician with major-label country artists and in solo performances.

He began writing lyrical tunes in high school resulting in hundreds of songs being composed throughout his career. In the Words & Music Program sponsored by the Country Music Association, he helped local students in their early attempts to write songs. Chris’s own writing career blossomed with a country music cut with Davis Daniel that he co-wrote in 1995. However, his heart and soul were truly revealed through catchy, melodic tunes contained in his first instrumental album "Higher Ground," released in 1997. The peaceful sounds from his finger-style guitar playing gained overwhelming acceptance.

A tragic setback delayed his next album release for four years, with "Journey of the Soul" marking a return to his profession of music in 2004. Both albums win the praise of many in the music industry and of fans because the music reaches out and embraces the human spirit.

Along with performing, Christopher speaks about overcoming obstacles and following your heart's desires. The book that he co-wrote, "Craft a Life of Passion, Purpose and Prosperity" is available in various retail stores across the nation and on the web page

Convictions to improve his condition and quality of life drive the continued use of holistic, new therapies and his quest for a cure to spinal cord injury. He is seen often in the Low Country of South Carolina either performing in a local venue or teaching guitar to youth.
